My name is Mohammed Ahmed, an Oxford qualified Chemistry teacher with over 7 years experience.
Gulf Chemistry Academy grew out of a simple observation: students preparing for iGCSE and iAL Chemistry often have access to past papers and textbooks, but rarely to resources that actually connect the two — that walk through the specification in a structured way, build exam technique deliberately, and embed past-paper practice.
Having obtained a first class Chemistry degree from King’s College London and my teaching degree from the University of Oxford, I have taught in one of the top performing schools in the UK and some of the best schools in the GCC…#
My approach
Every topic I teach is broken down into focused, lesson-sized sessions — matching the actual 1.5-hour format students learn in, not just abstract syllabus points. Each one combines:
- Clear, Edexcel-aligned explanations of the content
- Worked examples with real exam technique built in
- Many past-paper question practise
- Regular recall practice, so learning actually sticks rather than fading before the exam
- Consolidation checkpoints, so gaps get caught early — not discovered in the exam
